Organising for Safer Workplaces is a 2 day course that provides Union Organisers will an overview of both the WA Occupational Safety and Health Act 1984 and Work Health and Safety Act 2011.
At the conclusion of the course, participants will be able to explain how to use current WHS, and other related legislation, to build union organising power at a workplace.
OSH Legislation provides Union Organiser’s with an effective tool that they can utilise to not only resolve workplace issues, but effectively organise around and build Union strength. At the conclusion of this course Organiser’s will be able to use key aspects of the Acts and Regulations as well as be able to understand their rights as a Union Organiser, how to resolve disputes using OSH, the role of the Regulator, the role of the OSH Rep and the process of Provisional Improvement Notices.
