Work Safety Bill Webinar

Presented by Assistant Secretary Owen Whittle

Are you a work health and safety leader? Then you know how vital it is to keep up to date by attending this webinar. Some of us have time to devote to professional development and this webinar will explain what is in store with the new bill.

The Bill has passed the lower house and is before a Committee in the upper house. This means we will soon have new laws to improve health and safety at work.

Free webinar session on the new Work, Health and Safety Bill, presented by Owen Whittle, Assistant Secretary UnionsWA.

The WA Government has introduced to Parliament the Work Health Safety Bill 2019. The safety at work of almost all working people in WA, over 1.3 million people, are to be governed by these laws.

The State Government's “single Act approach” means that the Occupational Health and Safety landscape can be streamlined and simplified in WA, with the Bill replacing three Acts:  Occupational Safety and Health Act 1984, Mines Safety and Inspection Act 1994; and the Petroleum and Geothermal Energy Safety Levies Act 2011.
